About Me
My husand and I are proud owners of 2 lovely prairie dogs, their names are Polymnia and Pearl. Polymnia passed away last week and is now waiting for us in heaven. I actually joined here hoping to find some advice on what to do with Pearl, she certainly seems affected by Polymnia's passing and I would love to be with her all the time but I simply can't and I'm sure I could never replace Polymnia. You cannot replace Polymnia, but you can find another fine companion for Pearl. The social imperative in PDs will enable them to adjust quickly to another PD. It is worth seeking. Best of luck! Jim
Amy, thank you for the reply! After that post I had decided to go the route of ignoring him for discipline, and he's acting much, much better!
As per your recommendation, I will go out and get him some toys to chew on. Thank you very much for your response
Hey Amy! I just recently got a male prairie dog from S&S exotic in Houston and I am confused as to why he is constantly attacking me. He'll be good for a few moments after I let him out of the cage, but then he'll go into attack mode and be nasty to me.
What do I need to do to properly discipline my prairie dog? I really want to keep him as part of the family. Thanks!
I am so sorry for your loss. I jut got 2 and my neighbor got 2 sunday but my neighbor hasnt come and got his, o at the moment i am taking care of 4 tiny babies.I just joined also and saw you were in texas also.
