Prairie Dog Lovers Forum [PDLF] is an INVITATION ONLY email list for those interested in learning and sharing information regarding the plight of prairie dogs.. as pets and in the wild.
Prairie dogs are an amazing species, and if captive, we want to assist in insuring their happiness, well-being and safety, and stress the importance of supervision when out of their cage. PDLF consists of proactive, dedicated and knowledgable individuals who are more than happy to share years of experience and accurate information acquired through the years. Prairie Dogs require specialized adaptation to a human environment, and provisions must be made for their instinctive burrowing habits. They require a high fiber diet, and constant interaction with human and other prairie dog family members. No other pet will capture your heart the way a prairie dog will.
Please join us as we exchange vital information including current pet laws, proper diet and nutrition information, behavioral expertise, overall safety in a human home, health concerns, housing ideas, stories and photos, as well as current wildlife issues, and above all, we encourage the importance of advocating for the preservation of all five species of prairie dogs in our western ecosystem.
