Prairie Dog Lover's Burrow

Midwest Prairie Dog Shelter - Outreach * Rescue * Advocacy

2008

Five more black tailed prairie dogs arrived at the Midwest Prairie Dog Shelter in the Fall.  They were all integrated and everyone is doing well.  Bellies are full, enclosures are cleaned more often, and everybody gets a snuggle safe when they're tucked in for the night.  Mister Huggy Bear needs to be neutered, but that will have to wait until late Spring, early Summer.  Photos coming soon.

2007

Four severely compromised Gunnison's prairie dogs were taken in to MWPD Shelter in early Fall of 2007 after being rescued by Prairie Dog Pals, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM.  All four were victims of poison and found in different areas around Albuquerque.
